I am developing a product that targets .NET developers so that I think
it will be the best to show the document of the product using Microsoft
Document Explorer, could someone give me some hints about how I can do that?

Thank you very much.

Hi Charles,

There are some 3rd-party tools that can help you to create HxS files that
you can view from the Microsoft Document Explorer. Here is one of them.

The following newsgroup thread is also talking about this issue. I hope it
will give you more information.

If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at

Hi Charles,

The visual also includes a new tools that allows authoring, building, and
deployment of documentation to be plugged into Visual Studio, named
HelpStudio Lite Authoring Tool. You will find its information in Visual
Studio 2005 Extensibility Center.
