No build/breakpoint sounds with VS 2005

Visual Studio .NET 2003 registered Microsoft Development Environment sounds,
such as breakpoint hit, build succeeded and build failed.

Does Visual Studio .NET 2005 not have this functionality?

Hi David,

I found the following post by Gary Chang elsewhere in these newsgroups:
The Visual Studio 2005 IDE hasn't exposed a relavent interface to Windows,
we are unable to attach sound with VS2005 build events as the way of
VS2003.

Currently the workaround to attach sound with VS2005 build events is via
the IDE macro as you mentioned, the behavior you desrcried is as expected,
the VS2005 environment events don't provide a Build Succeeded event.

Thanks for your understanding!

Best regards,
