Installing Jan 2005 MSDN library

My January 2005 universal shipment arrived. It didn't contain the Jan 2005
library. I downloaded it from subscription services and burned it onto a dvd.

In order to properly install it, do I first have to uninstall the October
library? Furthermore, will deklarit 3.2 help, integrated into the October
library, be integrated into the January 2005 library. If not, how do I
integrate it?

Hey Dennis,

Sorry to hear you didn't get your January Library.

You don't need to uninstall October before installing January. Of course
this will use more hard drive space, but if space isn't an issue, go for it.

When you go to install January, make sure choose the option to integrate it
with Visual Studio. This will automatically make this Library the default
for use your Visual Studio. Setup unplugs October and plugs January into
your VS Help Collection.
If you previously had deklarit 3.2 help plugged into your Visual Studio Help
Collection, it will still be there in the same spot after January gets
installed.

Thanks Darren,

It didn't work out. I did a quick install. The January 2005 MSDN library
pops up when I press f1. However, Deklarit is nowhere to be found.

It seems I have to uninstall October and January. Then I have to uninstall
Deklarit and reinstall it. Am I wrong?

No, you shouldnt have to do this.
If you are installing the January MSDN Library and opening it via the MSDN
Library shortcut, then all you are going to see in your toc is the January
Library.
If you want to see Deklarit, you need to open up the Visual Studio
documentation using the Visual Studio Documentation shortcut (iin your start
menu under Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 > Microsoft Visual Studio Help
Documentation.
This will open up the same Help browser, but it should b e pointing to the
Visual Studio Combined Collection, which should have your Deklarit and your
January Library plugged into the table of contents.

If you still don't see your docs, try this link and see if you can see what
you need.
