Combine SQL And MSDN in Document Explorer

Is there a way to combine SQL Server 2005 books online with MSDN so that they
are both available from within the same Document Explorer instance?

I can't swear to it but it sure seems it used to be that way and that I just
lost it the last time I re-installed. Is it something to do with the order
things are installed? Is there any way to get them back in the same instance
or catalog?

Thanks,

Dale

Hi Dale,

I'm afraid you must have misunderstood something here. MSDN is different
from SQL Server 2005 Books online. We cannot combine MSDN and SQL Books
Online in one Document Explorer, even though they have the same UI. Base on
my experience, what you mentioned is the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Document" (Start|All Programs|Microsoft Visual Studio 2005| Microsoft
Visual Studio 2005 Document). Because VS 2005 has integrated with SQL 2005
express edition, for this reason, SQL Server 2005 books has been added into
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Document.

Please feel free to reply me if you have anything unclear. I'm very glad to
work with you.
Sincerely,
Wen Yuan

I don't have SQL Documentation in my VS2005 documentation.

I wonder if I skipped installing SQL Express since I already have SQL Server
Developer Edition.

Hi Dale,

I afraid this is the root cause, if you haven't install SQL Express by VS
2005 disk, SQL 2005 articles will not be installed in Microsoft VS 2005
Document. Please feel free to reply me if there is anything we can help
with. I'm very glad to assist you.

Have a great day!
Sincerely.
Wen Yuan
