Jørgen, I suggest that you call the product support line. This is a setup
issue, so you should not be charged for the call.

Actually no help shows up when the help is called thrue Microsoft Document
Explorer, no matter from where (Visual studio, net framework documentation
...)

Tried everything
Uninstalling MSDN
Uninstalling Microsoft Visual Studio .Net
Reinstalling all
Tried Renaming the help directory in "Programmer/Fælles filer"
Repairing MSDN
But not help.
The problem is that no documentation shows up when I call help in
Microsoft Visual Studio 2003.
Actually no help shows up when I call then net framwork SDK help
documentation.
I think the problem lies in some of the registry information within
Microsoft document Explorer 7.0 which is called, when I try to call help.
Please help -
I have tried so much with no luck

Jorgen,

If you find out how to fix this problem, can you post the steps here?

I am experiencing a similar problem.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've also experienced a broken links problem in VS .Net 2003.
I did solve this by disabling Sun Java in IE.
Tools-> Options -> Advanced -> Java
My Java version is 1.4.2_03.
A reboot: Dynamic Help works now.
Then I've re-enabled Sun Java.
A reboot: Dynamic Help continues to work...

I am having the same problem, so I called Microsoft Technical Support. Evidentially the wrong version of MSDN was shipped with several of the Visual Studio .NET product.

The incorrect version of MSDN is January 2003. This version of MSDN is incompatible with Visual Studio .NET 2003.

This is from Microsoft Technical Support. It works, although the GUID was different on my system:

1. Close Visual Studio .NET. Go to START, RUN and type REGEDIT. Click OK.

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1\Help\0x0409\{32AF11EA-A804-47bd-BDAE-31653BD0CDD9}

3. Select GUID on the left hand side. Then in the right side of the registry editor, select the value named "VS_Docs". If the value says "Not supported" you can change it to read "7.1" (without the quotes).

4. Close the registry editor and restart Visual Studio.
